For those who have seen their live show at festivals such as Sonica, Universo Paralello or Glade, the debut album by Warp Technique is a long awaited tonic. For those who haven't, a world of pleasure awaits!

Just in time for the outdoor season Blue Tunes label DJ Koszki presents us his personal summer collection 2009.

This dude got his inspiration from numerous party experiences behind the decks as well as in the middle of the crowd and is known for being an expert in both positions. As might have been expected, his style is pretty much avant-garde, very modern, sophisticated and very blue! So the tunes he presents on this compilation are perfectly suitable for the clear blue sky above a summery Progressive Floor. Forcing bass lines make you wanna move your hips while tight percussions and trippy rhythmic elements increase the pressure even more. And of course a proper pinch of psychedelic is not missing: Though very modern and reduced to the essential in their style, the tracks reach an astonishing deepness and send the dancers on a trip into the blue.

But be aware: These tunes combined with some beautiful people on a frisky dance floor might provoke a phenomenon known as Blue Addiction!

As we gear up for the upcoming festival season Spiral Trax is extremely proud to present a row of more techno influenced releases.

First out is Indepth from Israel who, even though he had two previous album releases, is a newcomer to Spiral Trax. As we laid our hands on a five track demo some time ago we realized that 25 year old Shahar Melamed from Haifa is heading down the same musical path that we have been walking for some time now.

Even though Zero Sum is his third album release it is a release that is re-defining his musical style. Throughout the years Shahar has moved from progressive to breaks to techno, all with a little pinch of psychedelia and a hefty dose of clubby influences. The new album is a blend of banging techno, minimal, acid and electro. Holding a five-year residency at Luna Club, northern Israel's leading dance venue, and numerous gigs abroad has definitely taught Shahar how to work the floor.

Talamasca needs no introduction, very well known by electronic music fans worldwide. A DJ and a producer since already 17 years on the international trance scene, he has played in more than 50 countries and continues to tour the world on a regular basis. compilation that gathered various artists from Ukraine,
Russia, Czech Republic, Morocco and Greece. The release
is the first Ukrainian compilation which gathered such an
international team.
"Mfkzt" (sometimes pronounced "mufkuzt") is the ancient Egyptian name for a transformed state of gold. By a special
process of arc heating, gold and other platinum group metals can be turned into a single atom or mono atomic
substance - a form of powder
- that has super-conductive properties. A superconductor does not allow any voltage potential or any magnetic field to
exist within itself; it is a perfect insulator. But it is extremely sensitive to magnetic fields of infinitely minute magnitudes
and will respond to extremely small magnetic forces. Within such a conductor a single frequency light flows, liquid-like,

Timecode presents the bright new spark of the psychedelic night scene: Principles of Flight. After the worldwide acclaim for their first album, Night Time Lullabies (2006 BooM! Records), Principles of Flight have decided to further explore the idea behind this release, and work on an extraordinary concept album entitled Chaos Opera.

Remy, 24, and Pierre, 26, have developed a unique blend of tech-trance rhythms, psychedelic groove, and night time landscapes which can best be described as "psytechno", and which has been praised by trancers around the world. This VA compilation is called TRANCE CULTure; by LIGHT to play a word game with "by NIGHT" which was the label's previous outing just over a month ago.

The difference between the two CDs is self evident, whereas the previous one contained night tunes, this one, even without loosing its psychedelic power and speed and its being underground, contains tunes that are well playable in the first light or in the morning. The starring once again are well known artists and emergent rising stars like Wizack Twizack whose tune closes the compi. Electrypnose on versus with Acryam who's track starts this rollercoaster of emotions. Two amazing tunes from Sismic which is MMHR's warhorse and the one behind the graphic project of both Night and Light Vas. M-Theory gives us some more reasons for smiling with a really fun morning tune and Mexican extraordinaire Sharigrama delights us with his interpretation f morning psytrance. A touch different from the "norm" is Skyhighatrist's tune, very bouncy and very psychedelic too. Oblivion is the project of one of the most sought after DJs in Italy; Lunatic and his companion Shivavoice they also gift us of a spectacular morning track. Going ahead we find Cosmiculture which is a New Caledonian project of label co-owner Enzo aka Aeternal which proposes something very jumpy and morning like. This closes the TRANCE CULTure project by the new MMHR and brings the label to new heights.

Papa Legba, Peter Zuniga (aka Pete Pan) releases his debut album Dead Air admist a a rather turbulent time in his life and the world in general. While not a negative album, it is supposed to project a rather dreary aural overtone. The first Track Night Surf, that appeared on Celestial Dragon's Intermittent Memories has had a rework by Ishq, creating a more sparse version than the first. Digital Ice Pipe, fills the sonic static with an ambient track that broders on beatless dronebient. Following up is I want to believe, which broadcasts the grey day with a rather dreary chill track that showcases the big influence that Ishq has had on the Papa Legba project. Recovering is the track that was written in a Nashville hospital while Pete's mom was undergoing surgery for a cancerous tumorit is meant to show the silver lining in a overcast cloud.a ray of hope for recovery. Greek Opium which debuted on Future Sound Theory 2 off Celestial Dragon brings in some idm elements into a ambient droney cinematic soundscape. Arranged Memories is built around a banjo riff and is minimal ambient, where subtle nuances make up the melody. Abandoned Window treks more into the idm/glitch realm yet still adheres to an ambient feel. Barely Holding on stays with the idm structure and ends in a almost housey groove with tongue in cheek gospel samples that leave a rather comical vibe to a sound which overall is rather dreary and grey. The last track Namek Coastline (extinct planet mix) is a new mix of the original which appeared on Lobogistic labs, Gnostic Traveller. The first track showed imagery of Gokus digital beckoning to planet Namek where the natives were creating the dragonballs. The Namek natives answered him with a happy greeting through the percussive call of their mallets. In the extinct planet mix Goku's calls go unanswered as the chaotic idm sounds only bring to his attention that plant Namek has been destroyed. Overall this album is meant to project an isolated melody, yet in the overcast sonic projections the listener is greeted with a feeling of meditative solace in a chance for happiness within the middle of nothingness. This is only capable if the listener focuses on the inbetween that is present between the aurally visible. Headphones and horizontal listening is a must.

'Hypnosis' represents the evolution in dance music. This captivating style has a sound of it's own, combines and takes from all probable styles of electronic dance music, something the scene has been witnessing in it's recent times. Well known Israeli duo Mute, kick start the Hypnosis with their Desert Times which is an absolute floor slammer and has a crazy minimal techno style groove with a deep progressive melody. New and upcoming Portugal based Spykers from Open Records delivers a deep driving techno progressive tune Stormwind.

The Antix remix of Kohra's Malgudi Daze, after receiving some great-unreleased response finally releases for the first time. Bulgarian Kliment, after releasing his latest EP on Iboga Records showcases his love for deep tribal progressive music with 'Destiny Is Awake'.

Greek progressive trance duo Fat Data, flaunt their funky techno trance side with 'Left Straight'. Mute returns with Eitan Reiter this time with 'Home Made', a deep minimal tech tune with a touch of trance. Kohra's Plastic Fantastic is a funky progressive electro tune with a driving bass and steady groove.

Iboga's Israeli outfit Astronivo present the highlight of their live set, with an exclusive release of Reaching Alizeta, a pumping minimal electro tune. Next, after their hit single 'Unplucked' release their second track 'Webcam Disaster' which closes the compilation. This is an epic progressive trance tune.

Interrupted - Dimitri DKN, is a culmination of a years work in the studio in Ibiza, in-between tours, pulling on various musical influences - from techno and progressive, minimal and house, and years of festivals, clubs and different countries and flavors, to bring a different angle to what is commonly known as Psy Trance. Ranging in styles, intensities and bpms, much like Dimitr's trance DJ sets, in order to bring a colorful perspective to trance.

Primarily all tracks were written by Dimitri in Dado's studio, hence the numerous collaborations with Dado (of Deedrah, Synthetic & Krome Angels fame) and mixed by Dimitri at Serge Souque's Antidote Studio (famous for Total Eclipse) and hence the participation of The Antidote.Also featured on the album are remixes for X Dream's late 90's classic 'Coming Soon', a remix to Astrix and Dimitri's 2002 underground hit, 'Evoc' and The Good Bad and Ugly's (as yet unreleased) Interrupt.

Sunkings from the UK is finally out with their third album after many years in the music business. Sunkings was an early forward-thinking techno/IDM group, which started as a trio in 1990 by Jay Paine, Paul N. Davies and Michael Bluemink. After several releases on a self-financed label, they gained attention of 808 State, which resulted in the recording of the Return of the Killer Rays EP for 808's own Creed Records in 1991. Hugh Ashton replaced Michael Bluemink around that time, just before the trio signed to GPR, which released their first album entitled Hall Of Heads in 1994. The album earned plaudits from Brian Eno and John Peel. They also brought Taz Alexander into their studio, for female vocals. Taz later also joined Juno Reactor, after Ben Watkins heard her works for Sunkings. After GPR went under, the group switched to the increasingly respected Blue Room Released label, which released their second album Soul Sleeping. Now they are back with an album full of beautiful variation and fantastic vocals by Taz Alexander, on Chill Tribe Records.

Celtic Cross was born out of a concept album I wanted to produce that illustrated the musical, esoteric and cultural correspondences between ancient Celtic culture and ancient Indian culture, this was soon overtaken with some more diverse influences including a potent tab of Californian LSD that went by the same name!

I enlisted the help of a small army of contributors, mainly from the hub of my then recording studio Butterfly on Brixton Road, South London. This was the studio and nexus that captured the zeitgeist of the moment and become the mothership that spawned a thousand imitations. Simon Posford, the legend that he is now, was just establishing a name as Hallucinogen and was former head engineer at Butterfly. He was joined by the current in house head honcho, Ott; a formidable partnership that was brilliantly augmented by Orb helmsman mixer Greg Hunter, a veteran of many productions with myself.

I have been devotedly assisted by junior rising stars Natalie, Sheldon, Carrie and Junior and helped by guitar maestro Saul from the band James; having just finished recording their album seven.

At the time, we had done so many mixes and remixes we couldn't fit them all on the album. So for the first time we present the whole mother load of original mixes, with the whole shabongel remastered loving as well!

Hicksville has stood the test of time admirably, still sounding fresh and unique with a beautiful production to boot! It's still heard and requested at festivals and parties around the world.

I hope you enjoy this as much as we enjoyed making it!

There are tentative plans for a new album but for now this will suffice!
