Every so often, reference is being made to dance being dead, or rock being healthy. It implies the two things have an inverse relationship. It's an old myth and non-sense let's face it. One example against this logic is Happy Mondays, LCD Soundsytem andprogressive music! A style where many influences can melt together and influence each other. A genre where rock guitar riffs, vocals or electrifying attitude can melt with an accurate trance uplifting energy or a sensual house layer. If we join a minimalist approach or the glitchy sonic passion out there one understands that this is a land with of freedom to express music wise. One fact: it has become increasingly difficult over the last few years to imagine electronic music landscape without the crossover ideals.
